Christopher Kalonji was a Black 19-year-old known to be a kind and thoughtful teen. On Jan 28, 2016, Christopher was in a mental health crisis. He called 911 for help. Clackamas County Sheriffs came to his home where no one was in danger until they arrived. Instead of getting Christopher the mental health care he needed, they shot and killed him.
